The Project Ri-Nascita – created to support autonomy of women recovering from violence – will be realized in an ancient farmhouse in the south of Milano assigned to Anti-Violence Center SVS Donna Aiuta Donna (SVS DAD).
SVS DAD is an association active in countering gender-based violence and supporting victims of sexual and domestic violence. It offers health and psychosocial care to people who had experienced violence and welcomes them with a dedicated approach based on nonjudgmental listening and on guidelines specifically designed by a specialized team.
SVS DAD’s Cascina Ri-Nascita is a place where women and women with children will be welcomed and hosted, providing the opportunity to live in a beautiful environment and restoring self-esteem, well-being, economic/housing autonomy. Cascina Ri-Nascita project have a significant social and environmental sustainability impact, contributing to the pursuit of selected Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030
The support for SVS DAD will be directed to the restoration of new areas of the farmhouse that will host up to 90 women victims of violence and their children every year, and for the implementation of the “La trama e l'ordito” project which will provide training and job placement of 15 women in the tailoring industry, to produce clothing, accessories and home textile products.
