Microsoft Employees: Help vulnerable and displaced children continue their education from anywhere, at any time!
来自 UNICEF USAAround the world, children are deprived of education and learning while education systems buckle under the weight of compounding challenges — COVID-19, environmental disasters, humanitarian crises — and children are falling behind with an estimated 70% of 10-year-olds unable to understand a simple sentence. On top of these inequities is a digital divide of growing concern: an estimated 1.3B children and young people do not have internet connection in their homes and only approximately half of the world’s schools can provide online services.
Microsoft and UNICEF are committed to tackling this learning crisis, to create a sustainable future for all children and young people and to empower them to reach their full potential.
Together, we developed the Learning Passport (LP), powered by Microsoft Community Training -- a highly flexible digital education platform and supporting ecosystem that adapts to meet the specific needs of learners and educators, from foundational learning to skills development. What sets the Learning Passport apart from other digital-learning solutions is the ability for learners to access high-quality education and learning resources including informal and formal curricula, from almost any device, from anywhere at any time — online and offline.
The Learning Passport is helping transform the education landscape – to date, the LP has reached over 5 million learners in over 30 countries. In 2023 alone, the programme was expanded to Poland, Philippines and more to help provide key resources to children, teachers, young people and their families living in or impacted by emergencies, including mental health and psychosocial support. But, we have much more work to do to ensure every child and young person has access to a quality education and the skills they need to thrive in a digital future. Our critical goal is to deliver high-quality digital learning to as many as 200M children and educators who lack connectivity, with a focus on the most marginalized. And we need your help to get there.
By supporting the Learning Passport, you can help transform the delivery of education and provide the most vulnerable children with the tools they need today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.
Give to UNICEF in support of the Learning Passport today.
