Support UNICEF on World Refugee Day

by UNICEF USA

Globally, there are tens of millions of refugees and internally displaced children and families struggling to survive, awaiting humanitarian aid or safe harbor. World Refugee Day, celebrated on June 20th each year, celebrates the strength and courage of those who have been forced to flee their home country to escape persecution, war, or violence.

As World Refugee Day is recognized this year, conflicts in Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan, Syria, Burkina Faso, Myanmar, and insecurity in Venezuela, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and elsewhere continue to drive displacement for children and their families.

UNICEF provides urgent humanitarian supplies such as safe water and medical supplies for children and families on the move, as well as longer term assistance like education and psychosocial care for those displaced by war, conflict, extreme poverty or natural disasters.

You can help support UNICEF’s work to ensure that every displaced child is respected, assisted and protected:
• $1 can provide 40 days of safe water for one child
• $12 can provide a refugee family with 1 tarpaulin for shelter
• $34 can provide 1 emergency UNICEF Family Kit
