By supporting Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, you will be providing critical, flexible funding that can be used to help children when and where they need it most. Nearly ninety percent of this funding goes directly to programs that provide essentials like education, safe water, and vaccinations against deadly childhood diseases, such as measles or polio. Flexible funds are crucial to UNICEF’s work in 144 countries, as well as to its massive humanitarian supply network, which can rush essentials like safe water, blankets or medicine anywhere in the world within 72 hours. This is especially critical as UNICEF responds to hundreds of emergencies and complex humanitarian situations every year.
With just $1, UNICEF can provide 30 pencils to support flexible learning, even during times of emergency. $3 can provide 1 mosquito net to protect children from malaria, $5 can provide 20 doses of the polio vaccine, and $6 can provide 1 medium fleece blanket to keep children warm during emergencies.
Supporting Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF means making a lifesaving difference for children facing severe malnutrition in the Horn of Africa or the Sahel, for 25 million unvaccinated infants, for children living through conflict or extreme poverty in Haiti, Sudan and Yemen — and for millions more.
