Job grants - Support for the employment of women leaving situations of violence

by Donne in Rete contro la violenza

The project aims to support paths of autonomy for women leaving situations of violence through job placement with 3 or 6 months internships in companies identified according to their skills.

Support for employment is essential because pathways out of violence often face the difficulty of women finding a job and better living conditions for themselves and their children.

Specific objectives
- support, on the basis of already consolidated experience, the guidance and accompanying desks for work within the Anti-Violence Centres;
- select possible trainees by the Anti-Violence Centres (care will be taken to identify centres that are distributed throughout the national territory);
- match with the working company;
- organize and manage traineeships according to current legislation and accompany with a tutor of the Center the devices aimed at supporting employment (training internships supported by work grants).

The intense training course, activated in 2016 and 2017, has allowed operators to acquire skills in orientation and job placement of women welcomed in anti-violence centers.
The topics covered were:
• Basic skills in work orientation
• The instrument of the internship for employment/reintegration into work
• How to target women who are victims of immigrant violence at work
• Self-employment opportunities: the company
• Promoting a social cooperative between women: administrative and legal instruments
• Conciliation rules and instruments
• The balance of competences as an empowerment tool
